Carla Hammond
Carla Hammond is a dynamic speech therapist with 20 years of experience and a passion for working with speech, language, auditory processing, and communication difficulties in both adults and children. She graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2005 obtaining her BSc is Speech Language Pathology and completed her community service at Witbank Hospital, followed by working at The Southern General Hospital in Glasgow Scotland.
Since graduating, Carla is PROMPT trained and has completed multiple short courses. She has developed a special interest in CVI (cortical visual impairments), Autism Spectrum Disorder as well as assisting children with reading difficulties. She currently supervises second year Speech Language Pathology students at the university of the Witwatersrand. Carla’s passion for reading, lead her to publish a Children’s book in 2021, Titled Rafferty’s Big Adventures in the Garden.
